The ski area:
The resort has something to offer for every type of skier thanks to the variety of slopes on offer: 11 blue runs with varying degrees of difficulty to help beginners to develop their skills, 18 red runs for keen skiers, 1 black run for expert skiers and, for snowboarders, a well-equipped snowpark. On the mountain there are several mountain restaurants, or 'rifugi', where you can enjoy high-quality food and drink, helping to make your holiday even more special and relaxing.
Andalo and Fai della Paganella are well-served by an efficient network of 14 ski lifts, including brand new gondolas and chairlifts, as well as 6 moving carpets, giving a total capacity of 31,000 people per hour, all accessed with a single ski pass. The ski pass Paganella Ski is part of the Skirama Dolomiti network: if you purchase a Combi and Superskirama ski pass, you can use the largest skiing network in Trentino, which includes the resorts of Monte Bondone, Folgaria, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folarida-Marilleva, Passo Tonale and Pejo More than 200 ski instructors are on hand to offer tuition.
Several of the instructors are also specially trained to offer lessons to people with disabilities and the visually impaired.
The area offers an almost unrivalled choice of accommodation:
Accommodation with different categories of hotels (from 3 to 4 star superior) to suit all requirements, offering facilities for families with children and modern wellness centres. In addition, the new public sports centre features a gym, indoor swimming pools, wellness area, ice arena and conference centre.
Here on Paganella, we never stop innovating and this year is no exception: you can now ski at night on Paganella, a fantastic new addition for keen skiers here in the Italian Alps. Paganella Ski joins the ranks of ski resorts offering night-time skiing. This is a major investment for the resort, allowing skiers and snowboarders to take to the slopes after sunset on the Cacciatori 1 piste, accessed by the Andalo-Doss Pelà gondola lift (as far as the middle station, “Dosson”).
And, as you would expect in Italy, there is a special focus given to food and drink!
On the slopes, you will find a number of wonderful, welcoming Alpine lodges serving up delicious food that is a treat for the taste buds; the slogan that greets guests of these mountain chalets, which enjoy stunning views, is “Choose Your Own Taste of Trentino”, a concept created in partnership with local companies which harnesses the region's rich culinary tradition and local produce, a unique combination of influences from the Mediterranean and Northern Europe that make our region so distinctive.
The great skiing on offer and its fabulous location have transformed Andalo in recent years with Paganella Ski becoming the European training base for first the US ski team featuring Bode Miller and Ted Ligety, and later the great Aksel Lund Svindal and team-mates from the Norway Ski Team.
Greats of the sport who have used these very slopes to prepare for the most important races of the season and often achieving great results, demonstrating the quality of the skiing on offer here at Paganella Ski!
But Paganella is not just for training: the Olimpionica 2 piste hosts two giant slalom races on the women’s European Cup tour. In addition, many of the greats of Alpine skiing know Paganella for the exciting Alpine Rockfest, a direct elimination race backed by music which has been proven very popular with audiences and competitors.
